Celebrating Outstanding IBDP and IGCSE Results 2026 at St. George Barcelona Every summer, we look forward to receiving our students’ examination results. This year, we are delighted to celebrate another set of outstanding achievements across both the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and IGCSE examinations. These results are a wonderful reflection of our students’ hard work, resilience and determination, as well as the dedication of our teachers and the continued support of our families. Outstanding IBDP results At St. George Barcelona, students aged 16 to 18 follow the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), a globally recognised qualification that prepares young people for university and for an increasingly interconnected world. Our latest results demonstrate the strength of our IB programme: 100% IBDP pass rate, compared with 82.6% globally. 42/45 highest IBDP score achieved by our students. 35.26 points average IBDP score, compared with 30.8 points globally. 58% of students achieved 35 points or more, compared with 30.8% globally. 24% of students achieved between 40 and 45 points, compared with 8.9% globally. These results are an exceptional achievement and demonstrate the academic ambition, resilience and independence that our students develop throughout their Sixth Form journey. However, the IB Diploma is about much more than examination results. The programme combines academic study with the development of critical thinking, independent research, reflection and a global perspective. Through the Core components, Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS), students develop skills and confidence that prepare them for life beyond school. 100% university acceptance One of the great strengths of the IB Diploma is its international recognition, opening pathways to universities around the world. At St. George Barcelona, 100% of our students gain admission to their first-choice university. Our graduates have progressed to universities across Spain, the UK, Ireland, the United States, the Netherlands, France, Sweden, Greece and beyond. Students go on to pursue a wide range of subjects and careers, including aerospace engineering, business management, law, mechanical engineering, animation, robotics and hospitality. Our personalised university and careers guidance plays an important role in this process. Students receive individual support as they select their IB subjects, explore future career pathways and prepare applications for universities in Spain and internationally. For our students, these results are not simply the end of their school journey. They are the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Excellent IGCSE results We are equally proud of the achievements of our IGCSE students. The latest results demonstrate strong academic performance across the cohort: 92.8% of all IGCSE grades were awarded at 4–9. 97.5% of students achieved at least one grade 7–9. 56% of all IGCSE grades were awarded at 7–9. These results reflect the consistent academic progress of our students and the high expectations we set throughout Secondary School. Our IGCSE programme combines academic rigour with a broad and balanced curriculum, giving students the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to progress successfully into Sixth Form and the IB Diploma Programme. More than grades While examination results are an important measure of achievement, at St. George Barcelona we believe that education is about much more than grades. Our aim is to help every student become a confident, curious and resilient young person, equipped with the skills and mindset to embrace the opportunities and challenges of an international future. Our students develop essential life competencies alongside their academic knowledge, including communication, critical thinking, independence, resilience and collaboration. The IB Diploma builds on these foundations, encouraging students to become independent thinkers and lifelong learners. Together with our personalised university and careers guidance, this helps students make a confident transition to university and beyond. Congratulations to our students and teachers We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to every student who achieved these excellent results. Behind every grade is a huge amount of hard work, perseverance and determination. We are incredibly proud of the commitment shown by our students throughout their IGCSE and IB journeys. We would also like to thank our teachers and staff for their dedication and for the personalised support they provide to every student. Their commitment to helping each young person reach their potential is at the heart of these achievements. And, of course, we thank our families for the encouragement and support they provide throughout this important stage of their children’s education. For our graduating students, these results mark the beginning of their next adventure. As they move on to universities in Spain and around the world, we wish them every success in the next stage of their journey. For those continuing their journey at St. George Barcelona, we look forward to seeing what they will achieve next. Congratulations to the Class of 2026!
