No. We have a wide diversity of families and children with different beliefs. Our International school in Barcelona is built on the values that the school promotes, and a central pillar is Respect. Through our values we talk and educate the children.
All subjects are taught in English by British native teachers with the exception of Spanish, French and Catalan Language classes, taught by native teachers in each language.
The number of hours varies according to the age of the students. We start Spanish language when they are 4 years old and Catalan language at 6 years old.
When children join Year 7 at 11 years old, French is introduced.
Our british school in Barcelona opens doors at 9.00am, the classes begin at 9.15am and finish at 4.15pm.
All year groups follow this same schedule.
Yes, from 8:00 to 9:00 our private school in Barcelona offers Breakfast club for those parents who need to leave their children before the doors open at 9:00 am.
Every day St. George Barcelona offers different activities depending on the age of the children. All activities are held in the school facilities and end at 5.15pm.

Pre Nursery and Nursery, 2 and 3 years old, enjoy one hour of sleep a day.
40% of our students are Spanish while the rest come from different countries all around the world. Currently, we have more than 60 different nationalities in the school.
In class students must speak in English, with the exception of the little ones as they are still familiarising with it. In our bilingual school in Barcelona all teachers always interact with children in English.
During breaks, pupils are free to speak the language of their choice.
No. When they are little, children learn through total immersion. Everyday we witness their improvements and how naturally they are incorporating the English in their conversations and games.
From Year 2, they will take an English test and the school will assess each child individually to better support those who need additional help.
In Primary we have reports at the end of each term and a parents meeting halfway through the term, this way we can be assured that we know and you know the progress of each child.
In Secondary, the frequency of reports is increased to five per year plus one parents meeting per term, so the tracking and control of the students’ progress is regular and accurate.
If you need to talk with your child’s teacher, you can request a meeting or contact them by email. Communication with the family is of the utmost importance to us.
We understand that families can move at any time of the year, so until Year 9, our International School in Barcelona accepts children during the school year.
The students of St. George Barcelona are great hosts. We have a strong sense of family where we warmly welcome new students. We understand that children spend more time at school than at home during term time, so our priority is to make them feel happy in the school.
We have a “Buddy system” where our current families volunteer to support new families, especially for those who come from other countries.
Yes. Students can enter national universities, both public and private, as well as British and foreign universities.
